Meet the Team

Meet the SignWay Team

A seamless, accountable project does not happen by accident. It happens because real people own every step of it. Every quote, every drawing, every production run, every permit submission, and every install is the product of someone's attention and judgment. We hire and partner with people who treat sign work as a discipline, and who understand that the customer is hiring an outcome, not a task.

Richard E. Hunsinger

President and Founder

Rick founded SignWay to bring accountability back to a Rhode Island commercial sign market that has been underserved for years. His philosophy, drawn from decades of karate practice, is simple: Do, the way. Continuous improvement, disciplined execution, and one standard of excellence applied to every project, every customer, and every member of the team.

Rick leads project intake, customer relationships, and strategic direction for the company. He is the first call on every new project and the person ultimately responsible for making sure every customer commitment is met and every outcome is delivered.

Jake Hunsinger

Vice President

Jake is the face of SignWay and the person most customers work with day to day. He leads client relationships and owns the customer experience from the first conversation through final sign-off, making sure every project runs the way it was promised. When you want a status update, a recommendation, or a problem handled, Jake is your point of contact and the one accountable for the answer.

Jake represents the next generation of the company and the same standard it was built on: do more than the brief requires, communicate before the customer has to ask, and treat every project like the company name is on it. Because it is.

Lisa Hunsinger

Head of Operations and Marketing

Lisa runs the engine behind the seamless experience customers feel. On the operations side, she keeps projects moving on schedule, coordinates the team and trade partners, and makes sure the details that matter never fall through the cracks. On the marketing side, she protects the brand and makes sure what SignWay promises in its messaging is what customers actually receive.

If a project stays on time, on scope, and on standard, Lisa is a large part of the reason. Her job is to make complexity disappear before the customer ever has to think about it.

How We Run the Business

SignWay is structured around accountability and a seamless customer experience. Every project moves through one project manager from first conversation to final closeout, so the customer never has to chase status or coordinate vendors. Every production run is documented from material spec through quality control. Every installation is photo-documented for the buyer's facility file. Every commitment we make is something we are willing to put in writing.

The team we are building is built on those same standards. Designers who care about the details. Production specialists who hold to specification. Installers who leave properties cleaner than they found them. Project managers who communicate before the buyer has to ask. The standard is to go beyond what the brief required and catch the detail the customer did not think to mention.

Our Trade Partners

Some commercial sign projects require licensed electrical work, structural engineering, certified rigging, or specialty production beyond our in-house capability. For those projects, we manage vetted Rhode Island trade partners who share our quality standards, and we keep the accountability with us. The customer still has one point of contact and one company answering for the result.

Our partners are not random subs we found on a job board. They are companies we have worked with on multiple projects, who deliver to the same standard our customers expect from us, and whose work we are willing to put our name behind.

Joining the Team

SignWay is in active growth. We are looking for designers, fabricators, installers, project managers, and customer-facing professionals who treat sign work as a craft rather than a job, and who understand that the real product is a customer whose problem got solved. If you take pride in the details, communicate clearly, and want to work with a team that holds itself to a documented standard, we would like to talk.

Service Areas

We work across Rhode Island's most active commercial corridors.
