Electrical penetrations are sealed against weather. Mounting brackets and rails are removed cleanly. Metal-stained areas are cleaned. The wall is left in a condition that does not require additional repair work from the property's facility team.
For lease-end removals where the tenant is responsible for restoration, we deliver photo documentation of the restored façade as evidence the lease obligation is met.
Electrical Decommissioning
Illuminated signs require electrical decommissioning before physical removal. We disconnect the sign from the building's electrical service, remove or cap exposed wiring, and document the decommissioning for the property's electrical file. Where required, licensed electrical subs handle service-side disconnection at the breaker or meter.
For signs that will be reinstalled at another location, we document the existing electrical configuration so reinstallation matches the original power requirements.
Disposal, Storage, and Return Options
Removed signs go in one of three directions depending on the buyer's preference and the sign's condition.
- Responsible Disposal. Old signs that are damaged, obsolete, or no longer wanted are disposed of through legitimate waste streams, with metal recycling, electrical-component disposal, and substrate handling per Rhode Island waste regulations.
