Custom Banners for Rhode Island Businesses, Events, and Properties

Banners do the work permanent signs cannot. They go up fast, come down clean, and put the right message in front of the right audience for the moment that matters. A grand opening, a leasing campaign, a weekend sale, a trade show booth, a championship game, a ribbon cutting. Banners are the sign you reach for when timing is the whole point.

Signway RI prints custom banners for Rhode Island retailers, restaurants, real estate teams, property managers, schools, event organizers, and construction sites. Vinyl, mesh, fabric, pole banners, retractables, hanging banners, and large-format building banners. We design them, produce them in-house, and install them across Providence, Cranston, Warwick, East Providence, North Kingstown, Johnston, and Newport.

Banner Types We Print

Vinyl Banners

The workhorse. Heavy-duty 13 oz or 18 oz vinyl with reinforced hems, grommets, and weather-resistant inks. Used for storefront sales, real estate leasing, sports events, grand openings, and any outdoor message that needs to last anywhere from one weekend to two years.

Rectangle 1359

Mesh Banners

Wind-permeable vinyl mesh for construction fences, building wraps, and stadium signage. The perforated material lets wind pass through without stressing the grommets, which makes it the only safe choice for large outdoor installs in Rhode Island weather.

Fabric and Dye-Sublimation Banners

Premium polyester banners with vibrant, photo-quality color and a soft, professional finish. Best for indoor events, trade show backdrops, retail interiors, and step-and-repeat photo walls.

Pole Banners and Light Pole Programs

Double-sided banners mounted to street, light, or campus poles using bracket systems. Used by downtown business districts, college campuses, hospitals, retail centers, and municipalities for seasonal programs, district branding, and event promotion.

Retractable and Pop-Up Banners

Roll-up retractable banner stands and tabletop displays for trade shows, conferences, lobby promotions, and sales presentations. Self-contained units that travel and set up in under a minute.

  • 18 oz Heavy-Duty Vinyl

Longer-life material for banners that need to weather a full season or year of Rhode Island sun, wind, and rain. The right spec for leasing campaigns and construction-site banners.

  • 9 oz Mesh Vinyl

Wind-rated mesh for construction fences, building wraps, and any banner over a certain size on an outdoor mount.

  • Polyester Fabric

Dye-sub printed fabric for indoor banners, trade show backdrops, and premium interior installations.

Sizing, Mounting, and Installation

Sizing, Mounting, and Installation

Most commercial banners run between 3' x 8' and 8' x 20'. Pole banners are typically 24" x 60" or 30" x 80". Trade show retractables run 33" or 36" wide. Building banners and wraps scale to the structure.

We hang banners with grommets and zip ties for fence and railing mounts, with rope and bungees for outdoor structures, and with bracket systems for permanent pole installations. For multi-story building banners and façade wraps, we engineer the install to building attachment points and provide certified rigging documentation for the property manager's file.

Permits and Rules in Rhode Island

Most short-term commercial banners do not require a sign permit, but several Rhode Island municipalities have rules worth knowing.

  • Providence

caps the duration of temporary banners and may require a permit for banners over a certain size or duration. Historic district overlays apply additional restrictions.

  • Newport

restricts banners in historic and preservation zones, particularly along Thames Street and the harbor district.

  • Cranston, Warwick, and East Providence

generally allow temporary banners on private property but enforce duration limits, typically 30 to 90 days.

  • Multi-tenant properties

often require landlord and property manager approval for any banner mounted to a building exterior.

We check the rules for your address before we print.

What Affects Banner Pricing

What Affects Banner Pricing

Material weight, size, and quantity drive the base price. Single-sided is cheaper than double-sided. Standard hemmed-and-grommeted vinyl is the cost baseline; sewn pole pockets, reinforced edges, and specialty hardware add cost. Pole banner programs scale with quantity and installation. Large-format building banners and façade wraps are scoped as engineered installations rather than printed signs.

Most Rhode Island commercial banner orders are produced and ready in 3 to 7 business days. Rush turnarounds are available for events, grand openings, and time-sensitive campaigns.

Banners Across Rhode Island

We print, deliver, and install banners across our home market and every commercial corridor we serve.

For multi-location campaigns, district programs, and event series, we coordinate banner production and delivery across every address in the program on a single timeline.
